Privacy and terms

What stays on your machine, what leaves it, and what you are buying.

The local-first promise and the commercial promise, made precise. Where something is not yet finalised, this page says so rather than implying it is.

Draft: legal entity, governing law and refund terms to be finalised before publishing

Local-first

Your record lives on your machine.

Consensus Logic stores its record under %LOCALAPPDATA%\ConsensusLogic on the machine where it is installed: registered projects, tasks, both plans, the challenge, your decisions, the agreed programme, every step's record, both report tabs, and the allowance ledger. There is no Consensus Logic cloud copy. Deleting that folder deletes the record.

The installed application never fetches fonts, icons or styles from the network. It runs offline except where the AI providers need connectivity.

What may leave the machine

Exactly as implemented, and only when you act.

Terms

What a licence is, and what it is not.

  • The licence

Pro is licensed per machine. Studio is licensed for three machines. The Founder licence is Pro for life on one machine. Licences are for individuals and small studios; there is no enterprise tier.

  • Vendor accounts

The product requires supported Codex and Claude subscriptions with their command-line tools signed in, used under the vendors' own terms. If a vendor changes how those tools may be used, the affected feature stops working until we update it. Consensus Logic does not sell model access and cannot guarantee vendor behaviour.

  • Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in USD; Australian buyers see AUD with GST at checkout.

  • Refunds

Fourteen days from purchase, any reason, by email to hello@consensuslogic.com.

  • Legal entity and jurisdiction

The contracting entity and governing law will be stated here when finalised. Until then, nothing on this site constitutes an offer.
